Massage Therapy
To relax and rejuvenate -- a massage therapy session may be the perfect choice. Massage helps to reduce tension, enhance circulation and calm the nervous system. It can also help to reduce soreness and speed recovery time after working out.
In massage, the client is covered by a sheet on the massage table and oil or creme is used for glide on the skin. Essential oils like lavender or eucalyptus may be used to enhance the experience. If you've been through the Rolfing® series, receiving massage can help support and enhance the changes your body has undergone. And if you're considering the series, it's the perfect opportunity to take some time for yourself while you experience my work. Sessions are $95/60 minutes or $450 for 5-series $130/90 minutes or $600 for 5-series |
Zero Balancing®Zero Balancing® was developed by Fritz Smith, MD in the 1970's. Fritz was an osteopath, a Rolfer™, and an acupuncturist; Zero Balancing was born from a synergy of these disciplines. In it, the practitioner makes precise, gentle contact with the skeletal system to address the relationship of energy and structure in the body. The work is done with the client clothed, lying on a massage table. Following a protocol which lasts about 45 minutes, the practitioner uses finger pressure and gentle traction on areas of tension to create fulcrums/points of balance around which the body can re-balance and organize. The work helps to clear blocks in the body's energy flow, increase vitality and enhance postural alignment. Zero Balancing® is the perfect companion to the Rolfing® series as it addresses deeply held tension in the densest element of the body -- the bones. While I do incorporate the work during Rolfing sessions, it can be a stand-alone session before, during, or after the 10-series. Zero Balancing® may also be included as part of a massage therapy session. |
Sessions are $100/60 minutes *Please dress in (or bring) clothes that are comfortable to receive in. Sweat pants or yoga pants work well along with a short or long-sleeved t-shirt and socks. |
