Rolfing is like re-arranging the rocks in the river to allow the water to flow.
If you would like to improve your posture, move more fluidly, and cultivate a deeper awareness of your body, Rolfing® Structural Integration may be for you.
Embodied Line of Evanston • Certified Rolfer™ Cheryl Bye
Rolfing combines manual bodywork with movement and perceptual education to help create lasting, sustainable change in your body's structure and movement habits.
|
Rolfing is sought out by people looking to find relief from discomfort and pain, a quicker recovery from injury or surgery, improved athletic performance, or by those looking to deepen a current practice in a discipline such as yoga, martial arts, Pilates or meditation.
|
How does Rolfing work?
Your Rolfer™ helps to realign your body by releasing the fascia (connective tissue) from it's chronic patterns of shortening and fixation in order to allow your structure to find it's natural support and lift. This skillful touch, combined with cues to help you move with length and sense your body's relationship with gravity, can allow very powerful shifts to happen.
